Monument Health’s endocrinology and diabetes education services have moved to 855 Omaha St. in Rapid City, and the clinic opened to patients Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to the health system.

The new location replaces the services’ space at Rapid City Clinic on Flormann Street, Monument Health said. The 26,000-square-foot clinic is roughly twice the size of their former space and includes 35 exam rooms, two ultrasound rooms, a DEXA scanner for bone density testing and a general X-ray room, according to the announcement.

The site has ground-level access and close parking, Monument Health said. The health system said the move is intended to accommodate growing demand for care related to diabetes, thyroid disease and other hormone-related conditions across the Black Hills.

Endocrinology physicians and advanced practice providers treat conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders and osteoporosis, according to Monument Health. Its diabetes educators are registered dietitians who help patients learn about blood sugar management, nutrition, medication and technology such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors, the announcement said.

Patients with upcoming appointments should go to the new address, Monument Health said. The announcement provided monument.health for more information.
