The Rapid City Rush were scheduled to host the Kansas City Mavericks at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at The Monument Ice Arena, according to the Rush. The game, on Slumberland Furniture Ice, was the final matchup in the teams’ season-opening five-game series.
The Rush entered at 3-1-0 and the Mavericks at 1-3-0, the announcement said. Rapid City had already clinched the series victory, despite taking its first loss Saturday, 3-0. Kansas City outshot the Rush 31-20, including 15-3 in the first period, according to the team.
The Rush said their penalty kill was 11-for-12 this season after recording two successful kills Saturday. Goaltender Owen Say had a 2.11 goals-against average and a.929 save percentage, and had allowed two or fewer goals in three consecutive starts, the announcement said.
He had four points—three goals and one assist—and a plus-4 rating in three ECHL games, according to the Rush.
Sunday’s game was billed as the Halloween Spooktacular, and fans were invited to skate with the team immediately afterward, the announcement said. The Rush said season tickets, mini plans and group experiences for 2026-27 were on sale; ticket inquiries can be directed to the team office at 605-716-7825.
